Vancouver Design Week
Cause+Affect’s strategic director, Jane Cox served as co-director of the inaugural Vancouver Design Week in 2014 and Cause+Affect designed the brand and communications assets including the website alongside Denim and Steel.
The logo was inspired by both the beauty and the chaos that occurs when you bring together so many different designers and design disciplines. It was also meant to evoke the wonderfully iterative process that design leads us all down, with the seemingly endless experiments and revisions necessary to find the perfect design.
About Vancouver Design Week
Vancouver Design Week was designed to connect designers of all stripes with each other and with the general public, to celebrate design and explore how it affects our lives.
For two weeks (a design week is more like a fortnight) studios opened their doors, tours were given, talks were delivered, conversations were had, work was done and drinks were consumed. Mayor Gregor Robertson officially proclaimed it Vancouver’s week of design from here on out, so get ready for lots more to come in the future.
