Real estate branding often relies on polished imagery and aspirational lifestyles, showcasing beautiful people in beautiful places. For Fairstart, we took a different path, intentionally breaking away from this pattern to focus on a deeper, more pressing issue: housing affordability. Our goal was to highlight aspiring homeowners' struggles rather than perpetuating the luxury narratives common in the industry.
Illustration style
One of the most unique aspects of the Fairstart brand is our use of illustration and animation as storytelling tools, inspired by editorial cartoons that provide a sharp cultural commentary.

Cause+Affect were given a completely unrealistic timeline and impact expectations and they delivered. The brand work was nothing that I expected but somehow feels like it was meant to be. They have made the topic of housing affordability interesting and engaging. That's saying something.
